Your expectation about the adoptive family
Tell us your wishes for the main characteristics of the adoptive family. Rainbow of Love will select the family for you based on your desire wishes. Little information will be shared. ONLY medical information and race/ethnicity.
Prepare for delivery
Create a hospital plan with the understanding that you have control over what happens at the hospital. This plan will include your expectations regarding the time spent with the baby (up to 48 hours) and plans for discharge. Rainbow of Love can be present at the birth and provide you a ride from hospital. Rainbow of Love will provide you with support, including meeting with your dedicated case manager, or certified counselor as needed.
Complete the legal plan and place the baby with the family
Rainbow of Love will be with you and advocate for you at the hospital. The baby will leave with the adoptive family while we prepare consents together. You will need to sign the relinquishment so that the baby may be legally placed into adoption. Your agency will help you understand and complete these requirements.
On-going support
Rainbow of Love will ensure you have a healthy recovery and a plan of action. Your case manager will remain available to you during this time.
